SUPERWRITE RULES (LESSONS 1 - 11)

1. DO NOT WRITE SILENT LETTERS.

2. "PH" IS WRITTEN AS AN "F".

3. PUNCTUATION IS THE SAME AS IN LONGHAND.

4. DO NOT CROSS "T'S".

5. WRITE THE LONG VOWEL SOUND THAT YOU HEAR.

6. DO NOT WRITE SHORT VOWELS IN THE BODY OF A WORD.

7. WRIE THE VOWEL IF THE WORD BEGINS WITH A SHORT VOWEL SOUND.

8. THE SOUND OF "SH" IS WRITTEN WITH A CAPITAL "S".

9. THE SOUNDS OF "CH" IS WRITTEN WITH A CAPITAL "C".

10. THE WORD ENDING "ING" IS WRITTEN AS A DISJOINED "G".

11. TO ADD THE PLURAL "S" TO A WORD, WRITE "S".

12. PERSONAL TITLES ARE WRITTEN OUT, BUT THE ENDING PERIOD IS DROPPED.

13. NAMES ARE WRITTEN OUT IN FULL THE FIRST TIME IT IS USED. ONLY THE FIRST LETTER IS WRITTEN WHEN THE NAME OCCURS AGAIN IN THE SAME DOCUMENT.

14. "TH" AS IN THESE IS WRITTEN AS A CROSSED "T".

15. WRITE THE FIRST LETTER OR ABBREVIATION IN LOWER CASE FOR SALUTATIONS AND CLOSINGS.

16. WORDS BEGINNING WITH "BE", AS IN BECAME IS WRITTEN "B".

17. WORDS BEGINNING WITH "IN" AS INSIDE AND "EN" AS IN ENDANGER ARE WRITTEN WITH AND "N", BEFORE A CONSONANT.

18. WORDS BEINNING WITH "RE" AS IN REPAIR ARE WRITTEN WITH AND "R".

19. WORDS BEGINNING WITH "BE" AS IN DECIDE ARE WRITTEN WITH A "D".

20. WORDS ENDING WITH "TION" ARE WRITTEN WITH A CAPITAL "S".

21. THE SOUNDS OF "OU" AS IN HOUSE IS WRITTEN IN FULL, "OU".
22. THE SOUND OF "OW" AS IN NOW IS WRITTEN IN FULL, "OW".

23. THE WORD ENDING "LY" AS IN LATELY IS WRITTEN AS AN "L".

31. THE WORD ENDING "ITY" AS IN LOCALITY IS WRITTEN AS A DISJOINED, UNCROSSED "T".

32. THE WORD BEGINNINGS "FOR", "FORE", AND "FUR" ARE WRITTEN "F".
